• * Brightness and Contrast
• Holding down middle-mouse and moving adjusts:
• * Moving left increases brightness
• * Moving up increases range of grayscale values mapped to visible values.
• * Preferences can set directions for the above.
• * Show pid and scn in window title
• * Make background black
• * Main window is centered
• * Main window covers full screen (option)
• Change Cursor based on current tool

Image View

• A "view" is the display of the 3D scan, contour, outline and surface data in an arbitrary slice.
• An image on screen showing a particular view of data is defined by:
• * Image size (x,y)
• * Image center (x,y,z)
• * Voxel size (x,y,z)
• * Scale factors (x,y,z)
• * Rotations (orientation angles) (x,y,z)
• The order-dependent rotation is: image coord. dot Rx dot Ry dot Rz = scan coord.
• * Current slice slider
• * Cardinal Preset buttons (Coronal, Sagittal, Axial)
• * Pixels can be replicated by copying or by interpolation
• * Views can be set to NOT be updated as things change to increase editing speed.
• Optional displays
• * Show/hide contours
• * Show/hide outlines
• * Show/hide scan data
• * Show/hide surfaces
• * Show locations of other views
• * Fill labeled outlines using colors
• * When showing colors: outlines are drawn in black, selected ones in green
• Preset views
• * Initial Display is 3 views (coronal, sagittal & axial)
• "Parcellation" view like above except with 3 extra sag on left
• “Easy” zoom: click to zoom in 2X
• Scroll bars when zoomed so won’t fit in image frame
• Can be placed anywhere w/in main window
• Add “dissection table “to view for "grounding" and localization
• Multiple data slots (multiple scans, etc.)
• "Classes" or "structure groups"
• (Named) of 1,2,3D structures that can be shown/hidden and possible used to create other structures.

Tile view

• * Show whole brain in one window
• * Scroll bars if too big for window
• * Save images as ppm files (File menu)
• * Display slice number
• * Full scale (vs. smaller) option
• Do everything single images can do
• Label by clicking like a normal image

3D View (w/ vtk)

• Show all or selected data
• Add dissection table to views for "grounding" and localization

Cursor Blowup View

• Shows magnified image of data around cursor

Status

• A window displays all known information about program status, all currently loaded data sets, etc.
